Usually, students enter a bachelor program after finishing high school. It’s important that the labor force be well-educated and trained according to their specialization fields. There many professionals who are taking specialization courses at universities, because companies require professionals with at least a bachelor degree nowadays.
Why take a bachelor's degree?According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), 96% of the 50 best-paid jobs demand bachelor degrees from job applicants in order to hire them. Moreover, applicants who hold a bachelor degree have 60% higher salaries than applicants with associated degrees.
Maybe in the past being a graduate wasn’t necessary; however times change and now it is necessary people have college or university degree in order to be considered for the job selection process.

Nowadays 83% of job applicants need a bachelor degree for almost all programming positions according to a survey carried out by State University, the Information Technology Association of America and Virginia Polytechnic. And by 2008 it’s expected that job rates for bachelor degree will increase by 21.9%.
Types of degreesThere are different programs for bachelor degrees, because educational institutions have different curricula. However there two main bachelor degrees:

Bachelor of Science (BS). This degree is granted to students who have completed the whole coursework in a branch of science; these areas could be mathematical sciences, life sciences or physical sciences.

Bachelor of Arts (BA). This degree is conferred on students who have finished the whole coursework in the branch of humanities and liberal arts; these areas could be music, social science, among other fields.
